Well I did it. I finally painted the side of my cabinet with magnetic paint and chalkboard paint. I had been thinking for a long time about maybe painting a smaller chalkboard on my long boring side of my cabinet but decided the whole thing needed a little pizzaz, so Voila' here it is....
I got my inspiration from many of you gals but just recently I saw a whole wall painted with chalkboard paint and it looked amazing. Many of you might know Janelle of Isabella & Max Rooms. She just finished painting a thick stripe around her sons room and I loved it, so go check it out!

I'm very happy with how mine turned out and it really comes in handy when jotting down a special note to my blogging friends or a little "good job" note to my kiddos!
Claire's teacher texted me today and told me she memorized all her Rainbow words for school. These words are kind of a big thing for Claire because she is starting to read and knowing these key words really help. Her teacher said for the rest of the day Claire had the biggest grin on her face, kinda like this...
Hope you've all had a Happy Friday!

Your chalkboard is in a perfect location! Hey, the background of your blog looks kind of looks like a chalkboard, very cool looking blog!! Thanks for the mention...Janell
Very cute, what an accomplishment. Not only the words, but also going out on a limb and putting up that chalkboard. I love it. I want one in our home as well, I just can't figure out where yet, but now I want one more than ever.
This looks terrific. I just painted old windows with chalkboard paint...and I love it. I'll be posting pics soon. It's so easy and FUN!

Great job Megan and it really looks good where you painted it....how hard is this paint to use and can you paint over most surfaces...I was trying to figure out where I could have one but my kitchen is barely big enough for me ...lol
Have you entered my giveaway yet for Paul Dean pots. if not you need too.

i just took this same plunge -- painted my kitchen pantry doors with chalkboard paint - regret not doing the magnetic paint as well - it's been fun letting the girls color on it.
yours looks great!
Hi,
I'm so glad you found me and brought me over to you!! I love your chalkboard... it turned out wonderfully and your daughter is the cutest thing ever. Enjoy her. We just found out our only child got into UCLA last night and we are ecstatic, but these last months of High School are bittersweet. It seems like yesterday that he was the size of your darling daughter!!
Happy weekend my new friend :) ~xo

Don't you just love getting to all those projects you've put off? It's liberating isn't it?
It looks great!
I just painted a bench I've been meaning to for awhile(posted it on my blog).
Now...on to the next project:)
Have a great week!
Very cool! and your daughter is so cute! I've been bitten by the chalkboard paint bug too. I think I will use it in either the boys playroom or their bedroom.
The brown that I used for my bedroom walls is called "Roasted Nuts" by Behr ultra premium paint and primer at Home Depot
Have a great day!
