Weakness is Evil!

Make your body strong.....
It must carry you for all of your days!

Make your mind strong.....
It will help you reason danger and calm fears!

Make your spirit strong.....
It may be all you have in times of severe stress!

Make your heart strong.....
It will be love that makes you "Be Kind"

Make your faith strong......
It will ground you when challenges seem too great!

Make your legacy strong....
It will speak for you when you are gone!

I came across this written on a piece of paper the other day and since it was in my husband's handwriting, I realized it was something he had been mulling over. Maybe he was having a deep moment and needed to work something out, nonetheless it really spoke to me! (Don't worry, I did ask if I could post this, thanks honey!)

It's weird too, because I was just reading a post someone wrote about the evils inside you and putting yourself down. I hope she reads this and it helps!

Our trick or treating is tonight and then we have our big Halloween Bash tomorrow night. I will take tons of pics and post next week!

Happy Haunting to you all, muwhaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Only in America!

A woman from Los Angeles , CA who was a tree hugger, a Democrat and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland near Colville , WA .

There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that then attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch.

In considerable pain, she hurried to Mt. Carmel ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a democrat and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her.

She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared. The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?"
He smiled and then told her, "Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a recreational area. I'm sorry to say, but they turned me down."

GOD BLESS AMERICA !

I've heard of Door Knockers.......

Hey, do you remember when you were a kid and your parents had you stand against the door frame and mark how tall you were and then made sure they dated it with your name?

Well this picture brings a whole new perspective to that ritual!

And again I did this when I saw it!

I have a great true story that my husband shared with me that will make you laugh just as hard.

My husband who is a surgeon was sent an elderly female patient who was diagnosed with a 3 by 4 inch breast mass by her primary care doctor. Her mammogram was negative and when he examined her, there was no mass. A month passed and her doctor sent her again. This time he was insistent that my husband need to do something about this mass. My husband met with her again and noted that her deflated, droopy, elderly breasts contain no mass. This time her doctor called, not quite furious, but asked that my husband examine her in the manner he does. He was certain that my husband would feel this rock hard malignancy. Days later she comes in and my husband asked the patient "How does Dr. so-in-so examine you?" She said, "well, he has me stand up," she reported as she stood. Then my husband felt it...it was frightfully hard, bumpy, and fixed in place. He lifted her breast and confirmed what he thought. It was her rodeo style belt buckle with a hunk of petrified wood at her waist. He had to bite his tongue so he wouldn't laugh. The things he has to deal with everyday, gotta love his strength!

Happy Weekend everyone!

Too Many Witches.........No, Never!

I think I'm crazy obsessed with anything that has a witch on it! Witch faces, witch hats, witch boots and witch signs! Am I a witch, of course not, but if you ask my husband on occasion I can be a little witchy! We are getting ready for our Halloween party next weekend and I'm having so much fun moving things around and planning my menu. I wish for one night all of you lived close and could come to our Haunted Mansion! No it's really not scary, as you can see I don't do creepy, I just can't go there, except my husband wanted blood on the windows by the bats so I accommodated him. Check out pic at bottom of page. So there you have it, I may have missed a few witches because I haven't even shown you our basement. Once its finished I will do a post on that decor.

Is this witch not the best, I love her perky boobs!

Queen of the Witches or Halloween, that I am!

I love my giggling witch!

This one seems a little crabby or sad, maybe she doesn't like sitting in the boot!

My purple light up hat, I've had for years!

I'm still working on this . This is my mothers dress form and I dressed up Helga and need to finish "Park Broom Sticks Here sign" and work on her mouth!

The house didn't fall on the wicked witch but this is where she landed!

Always!

Love her side sneer!

She's a happy one, need to add lights and she is set!

Night light, but it broke, still cute though!

My snow globe that continuously cackles. Could get annoying!

Uh, oh someone left their stockings!

Birthday present this year, love it!

That I am!

Witch hat on top of black twisted tree!

Had to show you this. Frankenstein book I got from the Goodwill for $1.00, can you believe it?

Using this boot as a wine caddy for my Wicked Wine!

Wish I could remember where I got this. I printed it off last year and I wish I could give credit where credit is deserved. If it was you, thank you!

I do not remember the demise of this poor witch, but oh what a cute hat she had!

Ok so here is my one gory thing. Bats with blood. Hard to look at but my husband needed to contribute!

I was thinking I should keep this out all year round, just to remind the kiddos (and hubby) whose boss! What do you think?

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! We have my sons last football game. They are in the championships, yea!

Enjoy!

Grandma's sure are sweet......and gross!

Richard was out with his friends and stopped by his grandmother's house for a visit. There on the coffee table sat a bowl of peanuts. Richard and his friends start snacking on them!

When they are ready to leave, Richard's friends say, "Nice to meet you ma'am, and thank you for the peanuts." Grandma says, "You're welcome." Eat all ya' want.....ever since I lost my dentures, all I can do is suck the chocolate off them!"

Oh my goodness! It's a good thing I haven't eaten breakfast or I'm sure it would have come up. What would you do if you were in this situation? I'm sure I'd run out of there screaming and looking like this......

Hope you all are having a good start to the week and remember, when you visit Grandma's house, I'd skip the peanuts if I were you!

Eerie Halloween Mantle!

I keep forgetting to post pictures of my mantle all decorated for Halloween!

Here is my before picture.....

Here is the after.....

I found some old frames and an old picture of my Great great great great Uncle Ernesto and put him behind a frame. I'm just kidding, he isn't my Uncle, but I'm sure he was someone's. I then found some old flash cards the ones that say "There were and After them" and made the "Ghosts" one out of paper and scrapbook stickers. I burned the edges and aged it a little. I figured since Ernesto has passed I could pretend he was the ghost after us!

I then draped moss around the mantle and over the frames. My girlfriend gave me the creepy hands which she got from Grandin Road Catalog and I hung them and set a few spiders on and in the palm.

I wish you could see the candles lit at night. They really set the mood!

Hope you are all having a great Thursday!
Enjoy whatever your day brings!
