Hark the Herald Angels Sing

I wanted to share a favorite picture of mine. This is a picture of my mother probably when she was 7 years of age. I just love putting it out every year and still laugh at how serious my mother was in this picture. Christmas is a hard time of year for all of us because my mother is no longer with us. She died in 2002 at the age of 58. That is only 20 years older than I am now. I know it has been several years since she passed but I still find myself grabbing the phone to tell her things that have happened throughout the day. Now I don't mean for this to start any waterfalls, I think I was just having a moment.
I sang Christmas songs to my kids before bed last night and one of my mother's favorite songs was Hark the Herald Angels Sing. My mother wasn't the best singer, in fact she was quite tone deaf but that never seemed to stop her. I can hear her now. She is up singing with the Angels and she sounds beautiful!
I love you mom!

What a lovely thought...your mom up in heaven singing with the angels!!

We lost my FIL this year in August, so this is a very tough Christmas for us as well...there is such comfort in knowing that our loved ones are watching over us from heaven though, enjoying all of the glory that He has to offer!

Many blessings to you ~

Tracey thank you for your kind words. I am sorry for your loss but yes I do believe that our loved ones are watching over us. I also believe that there are people that bring people together that wouldn't otherwise meet. So with that said I believe my mother and your FIL have done so in us! Merry Christmas!

No Phone Call Is Worth It!
