Most of you may already know what the elf on shelf is all about, but for those that don't, he is an elf that watches your kids and then reports back to Santa every night on how they are doing. Then, the next morning he is in a new hiding spot and the kids have to go find him. I have to admit I am really enjoying finding a new place for him every night.
James is a good sport and plays along for the sake of Claire and my raised eyebrow I might add. I think he likes to hear Claire squeal in the morning when she finds him, she is so excited that he really flew away and spoke to Santa. Now, there are some nights I am too tired and I forget to move him and then I feel horrible because Claire says, "Mom, I was good yesterday, why didn't Zeke go and tell Santa?" I tell her that I am sure he did but he just likes to got back to that spot! My husband decided to feed Zeke Lorna Doone cookies because he wanted to see what Claire would think about the crumbs. She couldn't believe he ate cookies just like Santa! I would say by the looks of it, poor Zeke has a belly ache!
I have the feeling that Zeke thinks he is in the North Pole right now talking to Santa. I think he needs to lay off of those cookies, don't you?
Move over Santa, there is a new driver in town!

love the elf..and all his places he has visited.. especially Paris, and santa's bulb wreath... ha! THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT... you never know.. kindred spirits and all.... I got tired of the maintenance blonde required... I was blonde my entire life until the past year when I went dark. My sis. is a dark red head... red is great! come back and visit some more!!! have a great weekend!
Oh that is too funy! It's like "Where's Waldo":) Thanks for sharing... I feel the same way. My husband and I are both a little Scrooge like this year with Christmas. We just want to be at our home and instead we are traveling to be with family...boo hoo right?! But there is just something about being home and not getting all stressed and torn in 3 different directions at once. Anyway thanks for stopping by and sharing. Good to hear from you:)
Hey! How'd our Hermey get to your house? Hee hee! Love how you gave the Elf...er Zeke...his own little post. Very cute!
This is the first time I've been to your blog, and you are cracking me up already!
Cheers from a new follower~

Oh... I forgot... how did your sister manage to spend a month in Paris?? That is on my bucket list, well, I actually want to spend a whole summer.
Could you email me her blog address? I'd love to follow her adventures. (reynolds9@mac.com)
I would especially like to know how to be in Paris and enjoy it, with a NINE month old?? My husband and I always discussed how difficult having a baby in that city would be. And the cold... burrrrrr! It's 21* there right now. Of course I'm a Florida girl...but I digress!
