I know I've said this before.....

and I'll probably say it a million more times in my lifetime.........

I'd rather clean toilets than cook! Yep it's true, I absolutely loathe cooking so much in fact, that I'm offering to clean any one's toilets if they come and cook for us! I think it's a pretty fair trade, so who's up for this task?

Ok, fine! I guess I will continue to sit in my chair rocking back and forth, biting my nails wishing and praying I could somehow avoid this daunting task. I saw this sign and I think it is pretty fitting for me.

Is there really anything wrong with the kids eating cereal for dinner? Yes, the fact that my husband won't eat it. Jeez, who did you expect in the kitchen after we got married, Julia Child? Honey if you haven't figured it out by now, you never will!

I have to say, since my husband likes to eat dinner like most people he realizes that it will only happen if he prepares it. Yea me! Well, he recently informed me that since it is a new year he is handing his wooden spoon over to me. So, even though I yelled this...................

He didn't flinch a bit! I said fine you might expect this...................................................

All he said was, "I'll get use to the burned taste in my food!"

Dam! So if anyone wants to send some easy recipes that only seem like I spent hours in the kitchen (really I won't spend hours in there) I would so love you all the more!

Remember, if you do, you might get me offering to do this......................

This is hilarious! My favorite recipe is to drench frozen chicken breasts in Italian dressing and bake on 350 for 1 hour. Talk about easy!!! And it's really good. Sides: Bagged salad and boxed rice pilaf. You can hardly go wrong with that.

I feel your pain on the cooking thing - I'm only slightly less averse to it than you. I come by it honestly - both my mom and my grandma both said that if they could hire one thing out, it would be to hire a cook. Me too!

Commiserating with you all the way. Here's to take-out!

I'm with you on this. 90% of the time. the other 10%, I love to cook.

I also love to cook side dishes for large groups. And soups, and desserts. And "special" meals (Christmas breakfast, brunch, etc.)

But plain ole Dinner? Screw that.

I say the same thing about folding laundry. "I would rather clean a dirty toilet for every load THAN fold those things!"

I'm the same, I'd rather clean the house than cook. I've made it a goal this year to try and make some quick easy meals everynight and meal plan, so that I know what I am making and can't change my mind.

I HATE cooking too so very much!
I just stand at the pantry and the
refrigerator at night hoping that
something will pop out at me and
it never does !

I don't know if you like salmon, but this is a favorite...tastes yummy, done in a flash and is impressive. I get the Altantic Salmon filets from Costco...place 2 - 5 frozen filets in a ziplock bag(I do this either the night before or in the morning) Add 1/4 C real maple syrup and 1/4 soy sauce in bag. Close and swoosh around until coated. I leave on the counter until thawed and then place in fridge. When ready to cook, place filets on rimmed baking sheet in a preheated 425 oven. Cook 10 - 12 minutes(depending on how many filets you are cooking)...Done! Make a box of rice a roni, heat some frozen green beans in the micro and you're good to go.

No Phone Call Is Worth It!
