Last Day of Freedom!

Sorry for being a little MIA this week. It has been crazy with this being our last week of school and last minute searches for lost library books and school assignments that needed to be handed in before today. So today is my last day of freedom for a couple months. I'm not sure I'm ready for the hoodlums to be here 24/7!

Remember I don't just have mine every day but all the neighbor kids!

How on earth is today the last day of school? How did it just creep up on me? OMGosh today is really it! The last day to sit and veg on the computer with my cup of joe and eat my Bon Bons while catching up with all your lovely blogs!

Can I just say I need to order me one of these!

I figure if I remember to take one of these everyday then I'll be good to go!

Well I'm off to Field Day with my 1st grader and a million screaming rugrats!

Give me strength!

  1. Have fun on
    the field trip...
    And remember to
    smile. You'll
    find yourself longing
    for these days
    before you can
    believe it. We
    still have ten
    days to go...
    Ten, nine, eight...!

  2. I think school is out here too. I live by the HS and there was very little traffic this morning. It's such a large HS that people think its a college.

  3. It's a mixed bag isn't it? Mine our home for the summer as of today -- I will have to hid my bon bons as I don't want to share. Glad all the end of year (concerts, etc.) are over. Bring on summer. This is Joni from Red Couch Recipes -- can't post only as anonymous (Blogger Issue)

  4. Good luck - I just got my kid back from college. A little easier than your task, but the toilet paper doesn't last as long and lots more laundry! W.C.C.

  5. I soooooooooo remember this feeling. Then, as crazy as it sounds, by the end of summer I was loving our haphazard schedule or lack or one and started dreading the structure that would come again in September. :)

  7. Ooooh - the summer vacation "blues". Good luck! Some things to add to your summer survival list:

    - A coffee IV
    - Wine... lots of it
    - Ear plugs
    - A whistle (you need some "power" when the kids are running amuck)
    - The power of hypnosis

We'll be cheering you on (and hopefully reading all about your summer "adventures").
