I should have known!

I should have know that my hidden passion for Roller Derby would one day get the best of me! I have sprained my ankle or should I say cankle. I will spare you the horrible picture for fear that someone might get sick at the site of it!

I went in to the doctor yesterday for an x-ray and it definitely is sprained, swollen and ugly!

While getting the x-ray the technician kept grabbing my cankle to reposition it and I about kicked her! Wouldn't you think to ask where to touch and not? This is so what I'm going to do next time!

Ok, so I didn't really do a round of roller derby but wow it sure sounds more exciting than tripping over the dog, right?

Just call me Captain Klutzo, my family does!

  1. Dear Captain Klutzo,

Hope you get better soon! Maybe a cold 24oz Miller Light on the ankle will help relieve the swelling:)
    PS- Really enjoy your blog!

  2. Have you seen the roller derby movie with Drew Barrymore? It's pretty funny. I broke my ankle about five years ago. We were mourning the death of a dealer at my store. Had maybe an "extra" drink or two and stepped in a damn hole, and "snap". Thankfully, the "drink or two" numbed the pain! But wearing a cast up to my knee for six weeks totally sucked! Hope you are put back together very soon!!!
    Take care, Sue

  17. Thanks for your fun comment on "Sanity Keepers" -
For a minute there you had me going! I would love to go kick a little rollar derby butt and I thought you were serious! Remember
"Floor Hockey" in gym class? That was my fav... I wonder what it would feel like as an adult to go out and go crazy in one of those two "sports"... but, you tripped over the dog... I almost spit my wine.
    Love the ashes. Hilarious.
